Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 17, 2026

Benefit Leader, LLC (“Benefit Leader,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of everyone who visits benefitleader.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect through the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to information collected through the Site. It does not govern the nonpublic personal information we receive and maintain in our role as a licensed insurance producer and employee benefits broker. Information about employees, plan participants, and their dependents that we receive from employer clients, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators is handled under our client privacy notice, our business associate agreements, and applicable law, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Tennessee insurance privacy rules, and HIPAA where it applies. Clients and plan participants who would like a copy of that notice can request one using the contact information below.

Information we collect

Information you give us

You can browse most of the Site without telling us who you are. You provide information directly when you complete a contact, quote, or survey form, subscribe to our newsletter, leave a comment on a blog post, start a chat session, call one of the phone numbers shown on the Site, or email us. Depending on what you are asking for, this can include your name, company name, job title, email address, telephone number, mailing address, the size and makeup of your employee population, your current benefits or funding arrangement, your renewal date, and anything else you choose to include in a message.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect your IP address, the general geographic location derived from it, browser type and version, operating system, device type, the site or search that referred you, the pages and posts you view, the links and buttons you click, how long you stay, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies.

Information from other sources

Business information providers can identify the organization associated with a visitor’s IP address, so we may learn the name, industry, size, and location of a company that visits the Site even when no one from that company fills out a form. Advertising platforms give us aggregated reports about how our ads and posts perform. We may also receive your information from a carrier, a third-party administrator, a referral partner, or a colleague who asks us to contact you.

Cookies, pixels, and tracking technologies

The Site currently uses the technologies listed below. This list changes as we add or remove tools, and we update this policy when it does.

  • WordPress and Elementor. The Site is built on WordPress with the Elementor page builder. These set cookies needed to display pages, handle form entries, and keep logged-in administrators signed in. Form submissions are stored in the Site database and emailed to us.
  • Meta pixel. Supplied by Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It records page views and form submissions so we can measure advertising results and show ads to people who have visited the Site.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag. Supplied by LinkedIn. It reports on advertising performance and allows us to reach Site visitors, and members of similar audiences, with LinkedIn ads.
  • ZoomInfo WebSights. Matches visitor IP addresses to company records so we can see which organizations are looking at the Site.
  • Google tag. Used for measurement and advertising conversion reporting through Google services.
  • WhatConverts. A lead tracking service. It connects form submissions, chat sessions, and telephone calls to the marketing source that produced them, and it may display a different tracking telephone number depending on how you reached the Site.
  • GoTo webchat. Powers the chat window. If you start a chat, the content of the conversation and the contact details you give the agent are processed and stored by GoTo on our behalf.
  • Gravatar. Displays profile images next to blog comments, which involves sending a scrambled version of the commenter’s email address to Automattic.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and most offer a private browsing mode. Blocking cookies may keep parts of the Site from working properly. You can manage interest-based advertising through the ad preference settings in your Meta and LinkedIn accounts, and through the industry opt-out pages operated by the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org. The Site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

How we use information

We use the information described above to respond to your questions and quote requests; to prepare proposals, marketing analyses, and plan recommendations; to provide and improve our brokerage and consulting services; to send newsletters, invitations, and other communications you have asked for or that relate to services we already provide; to understand which content and campaigns are working and to operate and improve the Site; to identify prospective clients and follow up on business inquiries; to protect the Site against fraud, spam, and abuse; and to comply with our legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations as an insurance producer.

How we share information

We share personal information with service providers who perform work on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery, customer relationship management, chat, lead tracking, and analytics, and who are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us. When you ask us to obtain coverage or pricing, we share the information needed to do that with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, general agents, stop-loss carriers, pharmacy benefit managers, and similar parties. We share information with the advertising and analytics platforms listed above in the course of running our marketing. We disclose information when required by law, subpoena, regulatory examination, or other legal process, and when necessary to establish or defend legal claims or to protect the rights and safety of Benefit Leader, our clients, or others. If our business is sold or combined with another, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not rent or sell your personal information to unrelated companies for their own marketing.

Advertising, sale, and sharing under state law

We do not sell personal information for money. Some state privacy laws define “sale” and “sharing” broadly enough that the use of advertising and analytics technologies like the ones described above can fall within those definitions, because information about your visit is transmitted to advertising platforms that may use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you want to stop that, you can block cookies in your browser, use the platform and industry opt-out tools listed above, or contact us at the address below and we will honor your request.

Telephone calls and chat sessions

When you call a number shown on the Site, we may record the calling number, the time and length of the call, and the marketing source that led you to call. Calls may be monitored or recorded for quality and training purposes. Chat sessions are recorded in full and retained as a record of the conversation.

Email and marketing choices

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop by replying to the message or writing to the address below. We will continue to send communications that relate to services we are actively providing, such as renewal and compliance notices, for as long as that relationship continues.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of your information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. To make a request, email Support@benefitleader.com or call 1-888-996-2363. We will ask for enough information to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within the time your state’s law allows. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will explain the outcome in writing.

Rights relating to information we hold about you as a plan participant or as an employee of one of our clients may be handled under the insurance and health privacy rules described at the top of this policy rather than under this Site policy, and we will tell you if that is the case.

How long we keep information

We keep Site inquiries and marketing records for as long as needed for the purposes described above, and longer where our licensing, tax, errors and omissions, or other legal obligations require it. Records tied to placed coverage are retained under our record retention schedule as an insurance producer.

Security, and what not to send us

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, and we require the same of our vendors. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not use the Site’s forms, our chat window, or ordinary email to send Social Security numbers, member or policy identification numbers, medical records, claims detail, or other sensitive health or financial information. If you need to send us something of that kind, call us and we will provide a secure method.

Children

The Site is intended for employers and benefits professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other sites

The Site links to carrier portals, enrollment systems, social media profiles, and other resources we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies before providing information to them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices, the tools we use, or the law change. The effective date at the top shows when the current version took effect, and material changes will be noted on this page.
